We are in our 20th year of business. Albin's
Fine Jewelry was originally Albin's U.S. Coins
started in 1981. We specialized in collectable
and bullion coins and merchandise, including
jewelry. In 1987 we changed the business to
full time jewelry, with three full time jewelers.
Having a background of working on a 20% to
60% markup in collectables, we decided to try
it in the jewelry industry, working closer on retail
pricing of precious stones, diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphires and their mountings than the
jewelry industry is accustomed to. It worked; we now appreciate a customer list of over 6,000
families in the greater K.C. area. My two sons, Dwayne and Curtis became jewelers. Dwayne
joined the business in 1983, Curtis 1991. Both daughter in-laws, Tammie and Genia work the
inventory and showroom. My mother has put in her time at the counter, although she always
seemed to be cleaning instead. My father helped me with finances in the early years, thank you.
And my wife was the battery that started and kept the engines running, thank you.
